HURON-PERTH — As part of its plan to protect Ontario’s healthcare system, the Ontario government is providing an additional $4,323,200 in operating funding to the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
This investment is part of the government’s commitment to increasing hospital funding across Ontario, including an up to four per cent increase in base and targeted hospital funding to support high-quality care, improve access to life saving treatments and strengthen healthcare services for patients and families. The additional funding builds on Ontario’s ongoing investments in local health care and will help the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance continue delivering essential services throughout the region.
In addition to this investment, the Ontario government also announced on April 17, 2026, a $4.324 million investment in the Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team (OHT) to support integrated healthcare services across the region. A portion of this funding is supporting the Huron Community Family Health Team in Seaforth, helping expand access to team-based primary care and ensuring more residents can connect with the healthcare services they need closer to home.
“Our government is continuing to make historic investments to strengthen Ontario’s healthcare system and ensure people in Huron-Bruce have access to the care they need, closer to home,” said Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce. “This additional funding for the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, along with our recent investment supporting the Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team and the Huron Community Family Health Team in Seaforth, will help our local healthcare partners deliver high-quality, connected services for patients, families and communities across the Clinton, Seaforth and Perth County region.”
